HOW TO MOISTURIZE YOUR EXTENSIONS

Assuming most hair comes from India, bellatory.com suggest that Indian women use coconut in their hair leading up to the wash. The coconut oil serves as a mask, and not only protects the hair but

leaves the hair shiny after a mild shampoo wash.

HOW TO WASH YOUR EXTENSIONS

Instead of rubbing and scrubbing your extensions during a wash, try detangling your extensions first, then placing them into a basin of shampoo water, let your wig soak for about 15 minutes, repeat this step if the water is heavily soiled. Follow the first step again, this time with conditioner. Rinse with cool water, use a towel to remove excess water, and allow hair to air dry.

HOW TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR EXTENSIONS

Before throwing your investment away due to hair going bad or tangling, consider the following:

  • Clip the rough ends off (Your extensions get split ends as well.)

  • Cut into a shorter style (This allows the hairs to be more even, reducing tangling issues.)

  • DEEP CONDITION (Perhaps your extensions lack moisture. After deep conditioning, add a dime size amount of argon oil or coconut oil.)
